Eligibility:

  • Educational Qualifications: Minimum Matriculation/SSLC/ITI qualification from recognized institutes of NCVT or SCVT in relevant trades.
  • Age Limit: As on July 1, 2024, a minimum age of 18 years and a maximum age of 30 years.
  • Other requirements: Specific to trade and category, as outlined in the official notification.

Selection Process:

  • Computer-based examinations: Stage 1 and Stage 2
  • Computer-based aptitude test (CBAT)
  • Document verification
  • Medical examination

Salary and Benefits:

  • Monthly salary at Pay Level 2, as per Indian Railway pay scales.
  • Other benefits and allowances as per applicable Government rules.

  • Up to Rs. 500 for all categories.

Qualification Required For Indian Railway Recruitment 2024

Candidates seeking to apply for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) in the Indian Railway Recruitment 2024 must meet any of the following minimum educational qualifications:

1. Matriculation/SSLC + ITI:

  • Candidates must possess a Matriculation or SSLC certificate from a recognized board.
  • Additionally,¬†they must have completed an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) course in one of the following trades from a recognized institution affiliated with NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training) or SCVT (State Council for Vocational Training):
    • Fitter
    • Electrician
    • Instrument Mechanic
    • Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic
    • Mechanic (Radio and TV)
    • Mechanic (Electronics)
    • Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)
    • Wireman
    • Tractor Mechanic
    • Armature and Coil Winder
    • Mechanic (Diesel)
    • Heat Engine
    • Turner
    • Machinist
    • Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Mechanic

2. Matriculation/SSLC + Act Apprenticeship:

  • Candidates must possess a Matriculation or SSLC certificate from a recognized board.
  • Additionally, they must have successfully completed an Act Apprenticeship in any of the trades listed above.

3. Matriculation/SSLC + 3-Year Diploma in Engineering:

  • Candidates must possess a Matriculation or SSLC certificate from a recognized board.
  • Additionally, they must have completed a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Automobile Engineering from a recognized institution.

4. Combination of Engineering Disciplines:

  • Candidates may possess a combination of various streams of Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Automobile Engineering from a recognized institution, in lieu of the ITI qualification.
